As I sit in my morning reflection spot, which happens to the be the kitchen table right now, I pull up my daily quote and think about what it means to me, am I showing up the way that I want, the way that the universe wants? Am I showing up for my friends and family? Do I go out each day to make a difference and make things better?
The answers all come back with "most of the time".
Which lead me to another question.
This is often the the way a conversation goes when I meet someone new or start working with a client trying to figure out what their road map looks like. We can always make better choices. But sometimes better choices aren't easy. As a matter of fact, most of the time any choice to better ourselves and or better our world is hard. If you spend even 2 minutes on social media (which I'm sure you do because you're reading this post), you are bombarded with choices. What video to watch? Whose post to respond to? Should I buy that? Should I sign up for that?
One of the ways to help you make better choices is to get aligned with where you're going.
I sat down with a dear friend and we talked about how we are NOT making the right choices when it comes to the foods we eat. Then we tried to figure out why it was so easy to make the bad choices and so hard to stay on track. We came up with a game plan and the intention of checking in daily with each other to support and gently guide each other to making better choices. The plan is good, it's easy to implement, and the hard part will be sticking to it. Doing it together removes a layer of resistance from it.
If you want to make the world a better place by taking care of yourself so you can take care of others, you need to find a supportive group working on the same thing.
If you want to make the world a better place by helping the planet, find a group that recycles or upcycles.
If you want to avoid toxins and chemicals, join an organic moms group or choose to purchase goods from locally sourced homesteads.
If you want to help conserve energy, connect with your power company and find ways to create better, energy saving habits.
There are infinite ways to choose better, remove a layer of resistance, and make the world a better place. All you have to do is start finding like-minded people, join their path, and stay accountable with them to do what you say you're going to do.
If we all begin to choose to be better and love one another, we will start to see amazing things happen in this world.
Remember, you are never alone on your path and if you get lost or need directions, I'm here to help.
