"Let Go or Be Dragged"

If you’ve been feeling overstimulated, reactive, or emotionally exhausted lately, you’re not imagining it. Your attention is being pulled in a hundred directions on purpose. This post is your reminder that you can take your power back—by letting go of what’s dragging you and choosing what actually supports you.
We live in a world that looks like it’s giving us endless options—what to watch, what to read, what to believe, what to buy, how to feel. But if you’ve ever picked up your phone for “just a second” and looked up 45 minutes later… you already know the truth.
A lot of what we consume is designed to steer us.
Social media, news cycles, and attention-grabbing platforms aren’t neutral. Algorithms are built to keep you scrolling and reacting—because your attention is valuable. And when your attention is constantly being pulled, your energy, mood, and choices get pulled right along with it.
Here’s the part I want you to really sit with:
You don’t have to fight the whole world to feel in control—you just have to choose what gets access to you.
Not the algorithm. Not the headlines. Not the chaos. Not the opinions of people who don’t have to live your life.
February has been a reset for me. While reading The Perimenopause Revolution with my book club, and figuring out what is changing in my body and why, I’m focusing on controlling what’s actually within my power.
Sleep
Energy
Pain
Emotions
Content
Education
Health
And yes—this is supported by my choice to use essential oils and to do my own inner work.
For almost a decade, I’ve been blending the power of self + the power of nature. I’ve established—and re-established—control over my life and lifestyle without the interruptive, invasive crap we’re exposed to daily.
Because “control” doesn’t mean you dominate everything around you.
It means you decide what gets access to you.
If social media, news, or erratically designed information is dragging you down, you’re not powerless. You can take control back—one decision at a time.
Start here:
What is controlling my actions and feelings right now?
Is it good for me?
How can I change it?
Sometimes the most life-changing thing you can do is notice what you’re letting in.
And I’m going to say this with love: if something consistently leaves you anxious, scattered, or angry, it’s not “staying informed.” It’s paying with your peace.
Lately, nearly every client I work with has been feeling the same pull:
A desire to isolate.
A desire to shed the people and things that don’t serve them in this current phase of life.
And honestly? That’s not selfish. That’s wisdom.
We’ve been working hard on boundaries—boundaries for ourselves and boundaries with others.
Have we been perfect? No. We’ve been successful and we’ve failed.
But here’s what I love: the failures are starting to be fewer and farther between—because we’ve made the decision to take control.
Letting go isn’t weakness.
Letting go is choosing not to be dragged.
If you’re ready to stop living in reaction mode and start living intentionally—from the heart, with clarity and strength—I’m here.
You don’t need to overhaul your whole life today.
You just need to decide what you’re done carrying.
